The Goodhood Store x Sserpress

SSERPRESS_FLYER_BLOG1The Goodhood Store is a neat little shop just down the road from Old Street station on Coronet Street in Shoreditch. Having just celebrated their 5th Year Anniversary in 2012 with a mass of celebratory collaborations and releases, the brand recently announced a less orthodox project, but one that has, in my opinion, fallen into place really nicely.

Sserpress (That’s sserpress backwards) is a three-piece band that have been making a heck of a lot of noise over London during the past few months with a ballsy mix of garage-rock, sludge punk and balls-to-the-wall riffs. When I listen to them I’m instantly reminded of bands like Down, Velvet Revolver, The Vines et al, only more raw, more visceral.

So anyway, tomorrow night at Power Lunches in Dalston, The Goodhood Store will be hosting a special show headlined by Sserpress, supported by Nymph. I imagine there’ll be one of the Goodhood crew doing a little DJ set as well beforehand. But wait, there’s more! Goodhood have also knocked together a collaborative tie-dye t-shirt that will be available on the night. The design is clean and simple, black and white tie-dye with a classic American Football-esque print on the front with the band’s logo and the letters ‘GH’. It will be priced at £35. I’m hopefully going to make my way over for it, maybe I’ll see you there.
