Following on from their announcement last week that they would be opening their first ever own-name retail location, the team over at a number of names* held a launch event at their new Upper James Street location last night to make the whole thing official.
Friends of the team were invited down to take a look at the store, check out the selection on offer and drink bottles of corona whilst loitering in the street and generally fucking up late night delivery drivers’ operations. Shout out to the poor guy dropping off cages of wholesale toiletries and cleaning products to the café down the road whilst trying to navigate around a load of drunk steez lords in various caps, gradually edging closer and closer to the white Audi whose paintwork he definitely wasn’t being paid to fuck up. Behold, kings among us as we live and breathe, as we live and breathe.
The store itself is looking as clean as you’d expect, with a real nice selection of stuff available from the get go. Personal highlights include the solid range of FPAR goods and full range of anon* merch including a patch-embroidered rugby top and a new collaborative fitted cap with Seattle-based traditional sportswear pioneers Ebbets Field Flannels. anon* has definitely come correct with a store that’s distinctly “them” and an offering that brings something a little different to the area, and with more developments promised over the coming weeks the story is far from over yet.
Enjoy the images, marvel at my boundary-pushing photographic technique, don’t watch the Audi and make sure you hit up 4 Upper James Street in Soho soon to get the full experience. Safe safe.
